Join host Midge Woolsey for the third and final installment of concerts presented by the Gerda Lissner Foundation. The foundation financially supports young opera singers as they hone their craft and pursue careers in the opera world. Tonight’s singers come from The Juilliard School’s Marcus Institute for Vocal Arts, one of the most prestigious programs for educating singers in the country.
Midge is joined by the Institute’s Artistic Director, Brian Zeger, to present the talented vocalists. Mezzo-soprano Megan Moore performs songs by Schubert. Bass-baritone Joseph Parrish presents a set of songs by Russian composers. Soprano Hera Hyesang Park sings works by Mexican composers. Finally, the three vocalists come together for a finale trio from Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte. They are joined by Francesco Barfoed and Brian Zeger on piano.
